Telltale Signs of Unwelcome Spirits

C 2008 By Kirby Robinson

Now that you have investigated and established those strange nocturnal noises and found out they don’t stem from your kids updating their MySpace page long past their bedtime. Or the fact that you feel dread whenever stepping onto your property is not caused by the impending tax deadline or the lack of shows on TV due to the current writer’s strike. You learn that hammering more nails into the floorboards won’t stop the mysterious sounds. As for that continually burnt out lamp – replacing the light bulbs just doesn’t seem to do the trick. What you have is a problem, and contrary to skeptics within the general public, property oppression is real.

How real? I’ve seen it, in the form of the most hideous looking creatures – far worse than anything in the movie, “The Exorcist.” I’ve felt it, having been thrown up against a wall a time or two by invisible hands. I’ve heard voices howl in my ears from the pits of hell. I’ve stepped into rooms that had the smothering feeling of an iron lung. I’ve seen rooms that were neat and clean, but less than an hour later, the layers of dirt and dust made it appear as though it hadn’t been cleaned in the past month. Property oppression and possession actually exists.

You won’t read many blogs about my experiences in this field, as my goal here isn’t to toot my horn, or attract the eye of a TV producer. The goal is simply to teach people to keep their eyes open for clues and to help prevent property oppression, possession, and even hauntings.

What are the signs of property oppression?

1. A room, home, office, building, or general property that you can’t keep neat. Does it seem that as soon as you pick things up you turn your back and those stacks of files, boxes, mounds of laundry/clothing, and piles of papers seem to multiply? This isn’t the general havoc that most children can conjure, this is noticeably different. You can spend hours mopping, polishing, dusting, straightening, scrubbing and cleaning up a room, but soon afterwards, it will look as though it’s abandoned and filthy -- like it has never been cleaned.
2. Do you not look forward to going to your home/office/property? I’m not talking about getting those low down Monday Blues, I’m talking how about you’d sell your firstborn to avoid going there. And how you often come up with lies and excuses, to your detriment, and to those around you, to avoid going there.
3. Do you feel tired, uneasy, edgy, just a little sick, often constipated, not living up to your potential, and feeling guilty about that? You don’t feel like you get anything accomplished, even though you constantly try? Like every day is mercury retrograde? It seems like the simplest things become complicated. You yell at the kids/spouse/roommate,/co-worker for no reason at all? Or you don’t even realize that you’re yelling. Often people have to shout to be heard even though there’s very little noise nearby.
4. Do you have trouble leaving the place? Does it seem like no matter what, even if you’re just going to the local 7-11 down the street to pick up a soda, that just leaving your property becomes a big hassle? And that the five minutes it takes to leave suddenly turns into 10, 15, 20 minutes, and you just say what the heck and don’t even bother going out.
5. You become aware of strong smells like sulfur, dirt, mildew, and rankness for no apparent reason. These stenches can come from even the cleanest rooms.

What are the signs of property possession?

1. Have you become your local exterminator’s best customer? Rats, mice, fleas, cockroaches, and ants, seem to come out of nowhere. Bedbugs show up for no reason.
2. Does the electrical equipment experience a higher than normal rate of power surges and brownouts? Do fuses and circuit breakers blow for no reason? Do light bulbs burn out quickly, and when they do, they really pop loudly? Do you tend to have a lot of shorts in your wiring? And even when you buy the best in consumer electronics, it seems that they blow up, and when they do it’s serious. Do computers and laptops constantly freeze up on you? And do these things happen between the hours of midnight and three a.m.?
3. Does it seem that even on the hottest days you notice a quick temperature drop until it’s freezing? Or it’s the dead of winter and your thermostat reads 70 degrees but it feels like 100 and then all of a sudden it drops to 55 or lower.
4. Your pets stare off into corners for long periods of time and are reluctant to go outside to relieve themselves. And they start to refuse to use their litter box inside. Do they cry when they’re petted like they’re being hit or squeezed too hard?
5. Do your kids, particularly the very young ones, start talking to themselves more? Do they have new imaginary friends over to play? Do these friends have strange and unusual sounding names? Does the phone ring at odd hours – between midnight and three a.m. – and no one’s there? Do you catch yourself thinking about people who have passed away or have you started to think about your own death, lately?
6. Have you felt as though you are being watched at night? Or when you’re alone in a room/office/house? Have your kids been harder to put to bed at night or get out of bed in the morning? Do they wet the bed more often than in the past?
7. In your kitchen, have you seen moving dishes, pots and pans? In other rooms, has furniture been relocated? Has food and drink disappeared overnight? Are there unexplained noises like pounding on the walls, particularly knocks on doors, whether internal or external. If so, do the rapping noises sound in patterns of the number three?
8. Have you or any one in the residence experienced: severe PMS, insomnia, difficulty waking up, stomach cramps, ulcers, decreased or increased lust drive or intense desire to commit adultery, depression, weight loss/gain, or increased alcohol consumption?
9. This last point might figuratively step on some toes, but has anyone brought into the home, or property, a ouija board, any type of tarot cards, crystal ball, runes, etc.? And have they started to converse with a “spirit guide’ or lonely spirit looking for a place to rest its bones recently? The moment you make the invitation, no matter if it’s out of compassion towards the spirit, or if the spirit aggressively sought you out, you’ve opened the door to home/office/property possession. Contrary to the teachings of some, not all spirits tell the truth. Most people don’t know how to test a spirit, and they can become fooled. And not all angels come from heaven.

So, I hope these signs of what to look for in this list has been of assistance to you in determining if you have any demonic property possession or oppression taking place. On the subject of hauntings and signs of hauntings, please come by and read my next blog, No Haunting is a Good Haunting. To understand the causes of property possession, please check out my previous blog, Poisonous Mind, Possessed Property.

Poisonous Mind, Possessed Property

Ó 2008 By Kirby Robinson

What happens when your home, apartment or business where you spend much of your time, is a place where you feel uneasy? Not only do you feel uncomfortable but also you start hearing those bumps in the night and this time some glue or nails won’t fix the problem. You might wonder how it got that way, and what to do about it. Think of this, a place that is haunted isn’t just a random occurrence, it has happened for a reason.

The root cause would be found in the simple fact that every sin that a person could commit while they were alive on planet earth can be found in the Buddhist concept of the three poisons. And if one can gather a comprehension and understanding of the three poisons, they can find the origin of every haunting by a ghost or poltergeist, as well as every demonic oppression or possession.

The Three Poisons are:

1. Anger/Hatred
2. Attachment/Delusion
3. Ignorance

All of the three poisons open the door to negative thinking and actions, which produces a negative mindset. This strongly affects the spiritual realm, where the very essence of being exists, thus producing negative energy which can follow a living person around via the law of attraction which brings them positive as well as harmful results. To further clarify the law of attraction, it is consistent in that thinking positive results in positive events, and that negative thinking results in negative events. When the negative-thinking person passes away they leave behind an energy that can continue to attract bad energy.

For example, S is filled with hatred towards E. at the time of his death. S’s physical body and physical mind [brain] is no longer functioning, since there is no heartbeat and no brainwaves. But, S’s energy is left behind, so by hating E, dies but the hatred still goes on producing even more negative energy via attachment to that hatred. Thus, the spirit of S has become stuck to that other person, E, or to a particular property that S inhabited.

How can this lead to property oppression or possession, you might ask? What is the calling card of a demon? Anger, hatred, attachment, and simple ignorance, so just as a heat seeking missile hones in on a heat source, the demon seeks the source of the three poisons and decides to take up spiritual residence which in turn wraps up the three poisons with a newly found energy source which then manifests in one of two ways or a combination of both.

They wish to drag the living toward the source of negative energy [possession of the person] or they want to blanket the person with the same negative energy [oppression], both equally disturbing. The only way to combat them is via a spiritual exorcism and cleansing. For cases that have become possessed/oppressed already and to prevent one of the two above, a cleansing and revoking the negative spiritual invitation is necessary. Love and compassion is the tool that we use to combat the three poisons with the outcome being that we free the spirits of the living and the dead.

Things That Go Bump in the Night!

C 2008 By Kirby Robinson

Does you house or apartment make as much noise as Disney’s Haunted Mansion? Do you hear a lot of creaking and groaning noises issuing from your living room or an upstairs bedroom? What about that noise down in your basement that seems to happen in the middle of the night? Does this mean that your residence will be featured on the next episode of “Ghost Hunters” or “Paranormal State” as it’s being swept for poltergeists, ghosts, or demons? Have you pondered the idea that if you do have a ghost, or ghosts, it might make your place an attraction on a ghostly guide, which would then make your house famous?

Another thing to consider before you contact a spiritual advisor/psychic/ghost hunter/exorcist is the fact that there are many who operate on the notion that they’re the experts and you’re not. Therefore, they may charge you a lot of money to determine that the creaking noise on the staircase you hear is a ghost, when in reality it’s just that: a creaking noise caused by a weakening piece of lumber. Those groans that resound through your bedroom vent and whisper ominous coded messages are just wind, not a long-winded ghost or goblin!

Please use your common sense when investigating “strange” noises that you hear or if there are peculiar flashes of light that you might see. Call in a friend or relative to help out, or back you up. Test connections to electric outlets if you happen to see flickering lights. Make sure that creak in the attic is just that, a part of the floor or wall that can shift when there is seismic activity or just the natural shifting this planet of ours does every day and every night.

In my home I was recently noticing the fact that one of the lamps liked to flicker late at night. A ghostly nocturnal visitor? No, in that room the light only goes on at night. And when it made a loud buzzing noise and caught fire, I didn’t suspect a mysterious entity. In fact, I wasn’t really surprised. For several weeks the light bulb had momentarily flickered when the light was switched on, and the lamp had a socket problem causing it to “give up the ghost.”

You may need to visit your local Home Depot instead of summon an exorcist! Your house may not be visited by ghosts but just is settling down like a senior citizen with bad gas pains. Sure, you might have ghosts out there, or you might just have a night time symphony of creaks and groans that need fixing.
